Bishop's Way

Bishops Way provides a 15 bedded bungalow unit within walking distance of Meltham Village centre. The support provided is tailored to help improve service users ‘life skills’, such as cleaning, cooking and accessing the community, to enable and empower them to safely live  as independently as possible.

Who we support

  • Adults aged 18 and over.
  • Primary diagnosis of an enduring mental health condition.
  • May also have a diagnosis of a mild learning disability.
  • Associated distressed or ‘challenging’ behaviours, including comorbid substance misuse.
  • Complex presentations requiring a specialised environment, structured but individualised approach and high staffing levels.

  • Geoff has only been on the unit since December 2017 but the change in him is amazing. The unit is so homely and welcoming. He seemed to settle down there very quickly and has adapted to the environment well. The whole staff are so kind and considerate, not only to him, but also to us all as his family. Our only regret is that it took us so long to be aware of Helme Hall's existence and to get Geoff transferred into their care! We were anxious for a better quality of day to day life for him and we've certainly found the key!
