Who we support
- Adults aged 18 and over, however typically older adults.
- Primary diagnosis of a dementia or other neurological disorder, including neurodegenerative disorders such as fronto-temporal dementias.
- Associated cognitive impairment and distressed or ‘challenging’ behaviours including mental illness.
- Complex presentations requiring a specialised environment, structured but individualised approach and high staffing levels.
"Geoff has only been on the unit since December 2017 but the change in him is amazing. The unit is so homely and welcoming. He seemed to settle down therevery quickly and has adapted to the environment well. The whole staff are sokind and considerate, not only to him, but also to us all as his family. Our only regret is that it took us so long to be aware of Helme Hall's existence andto get Geoff transferred into their care! We were anxious for a better qualityof day to day life for him and we've certainly found the key!" Marilyn, Jo & Mark Purves January 2018
